Who is Denali?
Denali is the sole designer and owner of Denali Prints. Operating out of his home with Bambu Labs printers, Fusion 360, Blender, and various other CAD and Mesh Editing tools, Denali has created all of the designs you see in the shop.
Denali started his 3D printing hobby in 2019 after his purchase of a base model Ender 3. First starting out using MatterControl, combining and editing primitive shapes, Denali expanded to parametric CAD during the COVID-19 pandemic. Denali first used his design skills and 3D Printer for custom parts for his motorcycle, various tool adapters and hangars, and custom storage organizers at home. In 2022, Denali won a local “Innovation Competition” with the 442d Fighter Wing, for his idea of 3D printing throttle covers for the A-10. This idea, and the 442d’s method of procurement, led to Denali getting an opportunity to work inside of an Innovation Lab at Whiteman AFB, where he quickly found himself surrounded by others who shared his passion for 3D printing. Through their support, mentorship, training, and tools, Denali assisted in the procurement of dozens of custom tools, tool storage, reverse engineered parts, and Aircraft covers and protective equipment.
In the Fall of 2023, the Innovation Lab was presented with a unique opportunity to design a custom table decoration to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the B-2 at Whiteman AFB. Through immense collaboration with his teammates, The B-2 Spirit Statue was born. This design immediately grew in fame around the Whiteman AFB community. The popularity and success of this design was the driving force behind Denali Prints. With the media attention Operation Midnight Hammer got, Denali thought it was finally time to launch his website and share with the world his designs and especially the B-2 Explosion Statue.
Denali is currently still serving in the United States Air Force as an A-10 mechanic, and operates this website an its business as a side hustle. As mentioned elsewhere on this website, lead times, especially for custom/new models will be extremely long. As this business grows and expands, Denali’s printing capacity will gradually expand as well, decreasing product procurement time, and eventually lead to having on-hand stock of items offered in the shop. Currently all items are made to order, so product procurement time will be slow. To ensure you are kept in the loop of delays, updates, news, and direct communication about your order, please follow Denali Prints on social media, and provide contact information during your checkout process.
